Car Hire in Ireland
Car hire outlets are plentiful in Ireland - both in the major cities and in medium sized provincial towns. Many visitors choose to pick up their car at the airport when they arrive and simply keep it until they return for their departure flight. You can choose either a local Irish car hire company or one of the major multinationals. All offer good car hire terms and a good back up service in case of problems

Bus travel around Ireland
Bus transport is good quality and usually reliable in Ireland but beware the fact that some rural areas may have no bus service on a Sunday. Don't get stranded.
Bus Eireann - the major bus company - provide express services between the major towns at reasonable cost and with a frequent service. Private bus companies also operate many routes. Get hold of local timetables when you arrive and use these to plan your travel around the country.

Train Travel in Ireland
All the major Irish towns and cities are served by high speed rail routes but there are only a few routes running north to south. You can purchase discount rail travel passes if you want to use train travel to explore Ireland.
